We are also seeking a leader who not only demonstrates high competence in role execution but also excels in problem-solving and remains actively engaged on the floor, supporting and guiding the team in real time. You'll be able to work closely with a Practice Owner committed to professional development and business growth.

 

Our mission is to give pets the best quality care possible so we can continue to love them today and tomorrow. We are a small animal, 1.9 FTE DVM, independently owned practice with growth aspirations and are looking for the right leader to join our team.

 

Our practice is located in Ashland, Oregon. The area is perfect for any outdoor activities you could want within a few hour drive. There's access to a beach, skiing, camping, hunting, or fishing. The Rogue River has whitewater rafting. For those who want things a little more chill - there's wineries and fine arts. Specifically, the Shakespear festival is a large and well-regarded annual event. Whether you're interested in the city life or a rural experience, it's all within reach.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, including facility maintenance, equipment management, and ensuring an OSHA compliant, efficient, and welcoming environment.
  • Financial Management: Oversee healthy budgeting, business growth and all budget oversight and management including financial reporting.
  • Staff Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of veterinary professionals. Follow all relevant HR laws. Implement and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manage performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Utilize servant leadership style techniques to encourage a strong, happy team.
  • Inventory Control: Supervise inventory management, collaborating with designated leads to maintain optimal stock levels and cost efficiency. Should be knowledgeable in all areas of Inventory Management.
  • Client Relations: Enhance client satisfaction through exceptional service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Identify and implement marketing strategies to promote services, including leveraging same-day appointment availability and increasing community awareness.

Education: 

  • High School or equivalent (Preferred) 

Experience: 

  • 3-5 years' experience required, veterinary medicine preferred but outside the industry management experience accepted
  • While CVPM is desired, it is not required. We would love to help a motivated individual grow into this designation.

Pay Range: USD $60,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
