Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Recruiter to help in implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent. This role is responsible for managing all phases of the recruitment process, collaborating with hiring managers, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for an experienced recruiter looking to make a meaningful impact within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and hiring criteria.
• Identify and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to County needs.
• Build relationships with both active and passive candidates through ongoing communication.
• Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and assess candidate qualifications.
• Advise and coach hiring managers on best hiring practices and candidate selection.
• Assist in scheduling and conducting interviews with hiring teams.
• Work with HR Compensation staff to recommend salary offers and start dates.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Verify candidate credentials and assist with onboarding and new hire check-ins.
• Represent the County at job fairs and recruiting events.
• Develop and maintain a network of recruiting sources, including colleges and staffing agencies.
• Track and report key recruiting metrics to evaluate hiring success.
• Support the HR team with additional tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• High professional standards and commitment to confidentiality.
