Job Title: Medical Assistant / CNA Location: Winnebago, NE Indian Health Services Schedule: Days/Nights 40hrs per week Requirements: Experience: Must have at least 24 months of direct patient care experience within the last 48 months. Certification: in BLS/CPR/AED. Job Summary: We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Winnebago, IA Indian Health Services. In this role, you will provide direct patient care and assist the nursing staff in caring for patients in the Critical Access Hospital. Responsibilities: ~ Collect, organize, record and communicate, in a meaningful way, data relevant to behavioral health and medical assessments. ~ Identify medical conditions that warrant medical treatment and notify the nurse. ~ Assess the physical-psychosocial health status of patients and family based upon the knowledge of growth and development patterns and health conditions that require medical management. ~ Recognize the desired effects, side effects, and complications of pharmaceuticals. ~ Exercise emotional control, tact, patience, and reliability in providing urgent patient care during stressful situations. ~ Provide individual and family counseling, guidance, and health instruction to help patients understand how to prevent disease and maintain good physical and mental health.
