Job Description:

The Manufacturing Test Engineer will plan, design, and develop, and operate PCBA test equipment and test fixture software for electronic products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, develop, and operate PCBA test equipment and test fixture software for electronic products.
• Confer with hardware and firmware engineering leads to develop robust manufacturing test fixtures, software frameworks, and factory workflows.
• Confer with manufacturing and design engineering personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions.
• Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by engineering, manufacturing, and management personnel.
• Implement proprietary communication protocols for communicating with external devices via Bluetooth, USB/HID and UART protocols.

• Able to read electronic schematics, layouts, and mechanical design drawings
• Must have expertise with the following:
• National Instruments LabVIEW, TestStand
• Electronic Hardware Design using Altium or similar designer
• Expertise with Python, Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript desired but not required
• Understanding of RESTful service design
• Familiar with the following:
• GitFlow, continuous integration/delivery, etc.
• Common communication protocols (Ethernet, RS232, GPIB, etc.)

Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in an engineering position or one (1) year of experience and a Masters degree relevant to Electronics Design and Manufacturing
• Experience developing front end web portals with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
• Experience with the following:
• Linux operating system
• SolidWorks
• RF instruments such as Network Analyzes, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Meters
• Experience with Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone, or other single board computer platform desired but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to travel as needed
• Willingness and ability to work after regularly scheduled hours as needed
• Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods working on a computer (4 to 8 hours)
• Ability to operate the equipment used for the job
• Ability to lift 15 pounds at times
