**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Endoscopy RN:** **Position Highlights:** + **Professional Growth:** Our clinical ladder program provides the opportunity for professional growth through mentoring, opportunities for leadership, and generous educational funding. + **Quality of Life:** Where career opportunities and quality of life converge + **Advancement:** Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development + **Work/Life:** Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedules **What you will do:** + You will need to utilize your assessment skills and knowledge base to prep patients for procedures. + You will be responsible for planning the patient care needed post op, including, spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs. **In the procedure room:** + Learn/Continue: To assist with basic Endoscopy procedures such as Colonoscopy and EGD's. + Learn/Continue: To assist with more advanced therapeutic procedures that prevent patients from having surgery for mass removal and swallowing disorders, and other interventions that treat/diagnose common GI ailments such as reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, and removal of Colon Polyps. + Learn/Continue: To assist and administer moderate sedation. **What you will need:** + A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York + Registered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care + The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written + MINIMUM of 1 year of RN Acute Surgical/Endo experience required + BLS Required. ACLS required (Can be provided during orientation) + Telemetry Training (Can be acquired during orientation) + On call availability 1 weekday night every other week. 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks (based on coverage) **Here at St. Peter's Health Partners, we pride ourselves on our patient and Colleague experience. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
