Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farm Hand - Sod Farm Assistant

to assist with day-to-day operations. This part-time position requires

operating various types of farm equipment, supporting sod harvesting processes,

and helping maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop and

surrounding areas. While this is initially a part-time role, there is potential

for full-time employment based on performance and seasonal needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, skid steers, forklifts, and bush hogs
• Assist with sod harvesting and general farm tasks
• Wash and maintain the clean appearance of farm equipment and vehicles
• Help keep the shop and surrounding area clean and organize
• Ensure farm equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for use
• Support the team in achieving operational goals
• Perform other farm-related duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications:

• Experience operating farm equipment (tractors, skid steers, forklifts, bush hogs)
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to perform physical labor
• Valid driver’s license
• Previous farm or landscaping experience is preferred but not required

Compensation:

• $15- $20 per hour, depending on experience.
