Fixed Dental Lab Model Department Technician

Location: Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $20–$23 per hour, plus benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Model Department Technician to join our fast-paced fixed dental laboratory in Charlotte, NC. Our lab processes between 40–75 units daily, and we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with pouring, mounting, and articulating models to ensure precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pour Models: Accurately mix and pour dental impressions to create high-quality stone models.
• Mount Models: Efficiently mount models using appropriate articulators for correct occlusion.
• Articulate Models: Ensure proper alignment and articulation of dental models based on provided specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work for accuracy and consistency before passing it to the next department.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of units.
• Maintain Equipment: Regularly clean and maintain tools and equipment in the model department.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a dental laboratory, particularly in the model department, is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in pouring, mounting, and articulating models with attention to detail.
• Work Ethic: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume workloads.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle equipment safely.
