* Very long term project Long term usually goes for 3+ years Webcam interview Hybrid* 37.5 hours per week * The position is hybrid. Telework Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Onsite Wednesday and Thursday. Local candidates are preferred. * Initial interview will be virtual via Microsoft Teams followed by in person onsite.

Complete Description:

Design and maintain DB2 Database applications which have the following characteristics:

• Design for high availability.

• Design for maximum performance.

• Maintain and develop techniques and proceduresto provide 24x7 availability.

• Provide production and test database support ina complex environment.

Perform all functions which are performed by a DB2 Database Administrator, such as:

• SQL code reviews.

• Performance Monitoring and Tuning DB2 at theapplication database level.

• Enforce appropriate DB2 security standards.

• Collaborate with the DB2 systems programmingstaff to appropriately manage DSNZPARM settings.

• Create, manage and support DB2 StoredProcedures, DB2 Triggers, and DB2 Referential Integrity.

• Create Change Requests, Resolve ServiceRequests, Provide 24x7 On call support.

• Provide DB2 Connect configuration access supportfor individual users and distributed systems.

• Coordinate with team members on technicaldecisions and directions.

• Work with Management to develop projectschedules.

• Provide Database performance and tuning whichtypically involves collaboration between Data Center, Technical Operations,Database Design and Administration, and the various software development areas.

• Responsible for the evaluation and creation ofappropriate backup and recovery strategies for new database requirements.

• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years DB2 experience

• Excellent knowledge of DB2 z/OS Database Support, including but not limited to the following. 10 years

• z/OS DB2 12 for zOS or higher in a production environment with high transaction rates. 10 years

• High availability 24x7 designs and techniques. 10 years

• Managing large data stores. 10 years

• DB2 V10 utilities setup and execution. 10 years

• DB2 performance and tuning. 10 years

• Data Modeling expertise - logical and physical design. 10 years

• Complex SQL coding / tuning. 10 years

• Data Warehouse design with an understanding of OLAP design and query solutions. 10 years

• DB2 attachments/interfaces include DRDA, DB2 Connect. 10 years

• DB2 tools skill set will include, but not limited to the following: QMF & IBM (Data Studio, OPTIM Workload Query Tuner, File Manager, Tivoli OMEGAMON). 10 years

• DB2 tools skill set will include, but not limited to the following: IBM DB2 (Administration Tool, Automation Tool, Explain, Query Monitor). 10 years

• z/OS Mainframe skills, but not limited to the following: TSO & ISPF, JCL, DFSORT &/or ICETOOL, REXX, z/OS Utilities. 10 years

Desired Skills:

• Problem solving and analytical skills

• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and projects

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• DB2 V9 or V10 Certification preferred

• IMS Database experience

• IMS Database Utilities (IBM, BMC, NEON, etc.)

• ETL tools experience (InfoShere, Informatica, etc.)
